Social Media day is on the 30th of June. This is a day in which there is a worldwide celebration on how social media has changed the way we communicate every day. Many people aren’t really aware that there is a day dedicated.
Social media has really helped many people make a 360 degree shift in their lives, and not the mention the impact it can have on businesses. Social Media is a cost effective way of marketing, and more than anything it is the best way to really connect with your fans. Zara ( a very famous Spanish fashion store, uses its fan page on facebook to determine what their customers “like” and “dislike”. Thanks to the ”like” application of facebook, they have been able to conduct a free research analysis of their clothing. Their mission has always been to satisfy their consumers and keep them first in mind. Thanks to social media, they have really been able to engage with users creating a more personal relationship. Zara is not the only one; there are many companies out there who are using social media to their advantage.
Social Media Day; is a day in which all of this will be celebrated, more than anything, it will be a day for us to realize and ponder about the impact that social media has on our lives. We will be able to appreciate it and hopefully take advantage of all that the social networks have to offer .
